One of our favorite things to do in the summer is to go boating and pull up to a waterside restaurant to eat -- usually Maryland blue crabs. Yummers!
This guy is waving to all of you in blogland!
Here's a picture of our little 18 1/2 footer that I affectionately call "The Canoe." I call it that because you should
see some of the boats that are stored at our marina. Yowsa! You could definitely live on a lot of them.
Me and Mr. Maison...
Our good friends, Debbie and Sid...
Views from the deck of the restaurant...

Hi Tammy,
ReplyDeleteLove the canoe. How fun to pull up in a boat, have a fabulous meal with good friends. Nothing better :)
Maryrose
Oh, that sounds like so much fun. I've seen some of those "boats" you're talking about, even on the Tennessee River. Wow! I'd have to pass on the waterside restauant, especially if it is floating. I did just what you're talking about once with a group from Honey Bear's office. I was too sick to eat. I have a big problem with motion sickness because of my Minere's Syndrome.
ReplyDeleteCrab! I would so love some, NOW! LOL! I love dining next to the water and eating the seafood recently caught there. I have never been to the Eastern Seaboard, only the Western side. I love the coastal areas there. Thanks for the wonderful pics. hugs ~cindy s~
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful day. It's hard to beat good food, good friends and a gorgeous view. Blessings... Mary

I have never had Maryland blue crab. My ex husband was from Maryland & he loved it, but I never tried it. But I do love crab legs, shrimp & lobster. So I'm sure I would love it! Love your canoe. Too funny!
ReplyDeleteAgreed Maryland Blue crabs are yummy! I think I will go munch on a banana and have a glass of ice tea. Getting hungry looking at your blog.
ReplyDeleteJoyce M
Yummy and the views are spectacular. So drooling over here now over those crabs! Love me some blue ones! The Philippines also prize their blue crabs. So yummy!
ReplyDeleteI am allergic to crab but my family loves them. I love your photos. Don't you just love this time of the year on the water?
ReplyDeleteJoyce
Tammy...you are in trouble (kidding)... I told my husband Wednesday after reading your post that I HAD to have crab this weekend... and when he asked "why?" I answered "Tammy said so".... instead of arguing (he knows how I feel about my blogging friends)...he said "ok"...Happy Foodie Friday! Have a great weekend ~ Susan
ReplyDeleteTammy, I love crabs, well all seafood for that matter. But fresh crabs are the best. Looks like you had a perfect day!
ReplyDeleteOh, this was wonderful, Tammy! I wish I'd been there with yall! I went back to BL and bought yet another $2 tablecloth--pale turquoise with white butterflies. Hope you have a wonderful weekend!
