Welcome to Tablescape Thursday! Please visit our hostess for this event, Susan at Between Naps on the Porch, for a list of other participants.

Lately, I have been nuts about things with strawberries on them, and it's appropriate because the annual Strawberry Festival will be held here on Memorial Day weekend. This is our very favorite festival, and I think we've only missed going about two years out of our 20 living here. It's held in Pungo, the rural section of Virginia Beach.
This past Sunday I set the table using strawberry dishes...
The tureen has strawberries on it too...
And the glasses..
Bees on the flatware...
The napkin rings also double as placecard holders...

Since my tablescape this week involved food, I'm posting it for both Tablescape Thursday and Foodie Friday. This week's Foodie Friday theme is finger foods. I didn't really make anything like that this week to share, but I did want to share the breakfast that Mr. Maison and I had this past Sunday. We had quiche and strawberries, and Mr. Maison says that "Real men eat quiche!"
You could actually make this into an appetizer by filling small pastry shells with the quiche mixture instead of a pie crust. You can really put any combination of things in it that you want, but here's my usual list of ingredients: eggs, milk, ricotta cheese, green onions, shredded mozzarella, salt & pepper.
What a lovely tablescape. Such beautiful dishes. I love all of the pieces you've used. They are not only lovely, but unique. Stunning. Hugs, Marty

OK, I so excited! You have the strawberry dishes I got from my employer, with an 8 piece setting and serving dishes. All were broken, the day before we got married 31 years ago. My younger brother did a spin out and off went all my dishes! I have 3 plates, a creamer, and one chipped cup, I saved. While working in Virgina, I found a whole set of these dishes, I did not buy them, thinking my taste has changed! But after seeing Susan china on her porch, I have so regretted it! Do you happen to know the name? I have found no markings. I wish so much to have a few more pieces! I know I am over excited to see my dishes on your table! Love your table!
ReplyDeleteButter Yum, I found the strawberry glasses at Home Goods.
ReplyDeleteKammy, you're gonna have to get you some bee flatware!
Lady Katherine, oh, what a shame to lost all that beautiful china. It's Royal Crown Spring Time. The only place I could find any of it was on Replacements.com. They only had the luncheon plates; no dinner plates at all. I hope you can find some!
Perfect for Strawberry season here in Virginia -- I was thinking strawberries for this weeks tablescape too!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful tablescape!! I love strawberries! It shouldn't be long until we will be getting locally grown strawberries.
ReplyDeleteI have a teacup that would match your plates--I need to get some bee flatware for sure! You have a keen eye for details. This is so fresh and pretty, Tammy. What a joy to see it. I hope you have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend. Are you still loving your bench?
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful table you set, dear one..just lovely. Now, where can I go for Bee flatware? I am totally in LOVE with yours...
ReplyDeleteLovely table --
ReplyDeleteI tell husband that the quiche is a frittata with a crust. He seems satisfied that he's eating a frittata while he might balk at a quiche!
I love the strawberries! one of my dearest friends collects all things strawberry, and she would love it as well.
ReplyDeleteAlso, we have a strawberry festival in our town too! in fact, 8 years ago, I was the Strawberry Festival Queen. what a fun summer of riding floats, and sampling strawberries!
Thanks for posting your beautiful table - It brought back so many memories!
Look forward to seeing more of your creative tablescapes :)
Blessings, Emily from too Blessed to Stress
Gollum, I am totally loving the bench! We can seat nine at our table now, which will be so nice when we have extra company.
ReplyDeleteBJ, I got the bee flatware from Niemanmarcus.com.
