Tablescape Thursday: Winter Wonderland

It's that time, again, for Tablescape Thursday hosted by Susan at Between Naps on the Porch. Swing by Susan's blog to see what eye candy she has to share this week, and to visit the other participants.

***

I did sort of a winter wonderland theme this week...

Baby, it's cold outside...come in by the fire...

An abominable snowman's eyeview...

Mr. Maison, who almost always helps me with tablescapes, made the centerpiece this week...a log with tealights. This was cut from a huge branch that fell out of our backyard tree during a recent Nor'easter and barely missed our house. All you need is a 1 1/2 inch paddle drill bit (not sure if that's the "technical term" -- ha!) and a piece of wood. This works well for fruits and veggies too. You can click HERE to see my tablescape with apple tealight holders made this way.

We have Santa...

...and sparkly trees...pretend these little trees have frozen with ice on them...

...and snowmen (and women!)...

...and reindeer...

...and an igloo...

Reindeer tealight holders are from Colonial Candle
Red table runners are from Dollar Tree
Snowman plates and S&P shakers are from Dollar General
Log tealight holder...made by Mr. Maison -- priceless!

Don't forget that Colonial Candle is offering my readers a discount of $15 off an order of $60 or more. This is good through 12/31/09. Just use promotional code MAMAISON15 at checkout.

  15. Tammy-I love that log. Pottery Barn used to have something similar and I really wanted them. Unfortunately, Beloved doesn't drill :)

  16. Tammy, hi, you looked at my tablesetting on Susan's blog today and wanted to know where I got the bench. I bought it at a little shop in Alpharetta called Al la mode a couple of years ago. There is supposed to be a bigger warehouse in Atlanta somewhere that has lots of goodies. Thanks for asking and for the comments. Your table is cute and Christmasy, too....Kim

  19. Admiring the time and energy you put into your blog and
in depth information you present. It's nice to come across a blog every once in a while that isn't the
same outdated rehashed information. Wonderful read!
I've bookmarked your site and I'm adding your RSS feeds to my Google account.

  20. Definitely believe that which you stated. Your favorite justification seemed to be on the
web the simplest thing to be aware of. I say to you, I definitely get annoyed while
people consider worries that they just don't know about. You managed to hit the nail upon the top as well as defined out the whole thing without having side effect , people can take a signal. Will likely be back to get more. Thanks
