Tablescape Thursday...Sunflowers

Welcome to Tablescape Thursday. Be sure to visit our wonderful hostess, Susan at Between Naps on the Porch, for lots of tablescaping inspiration.

This summer I've been loving doing tablescapes on our two bistro sets and our porch furniture.

Pink Saturday 7/18

Beverly at How Sweet The Sound hosts Pink Saturday every week so that everyone can show off their pink. Be sure to stop by her blog and check out the other participants.

~~~
Some of my flowers were already looking bad so I replaced some with mandevilla, and I love the gorgeous, deep pink color.
Pink Saturday...Afternoon Tea
Welcome to Pink Saturday! Please visit our sweet hostess for this event, Beverly at How Sweet The Sound, for lots of pretty pinkness.
~~~

Since the weather here was actually a little cooler today, I decided to have tea on the back porch, and I've used a lot of pink!

Foodie Friday...Graduation, Yeah!

Welcome to Foodie Friday! Please visit our hostess Michael's lovely blog Designs By Gollum for lots more food.

~~~
My son graduated high school three weeks ago (yay, Nick!), and here's the food that we served. We had sub sandwiches, buffalo wings, fruit, chips and cake.
My son is vegan, and so I always have to make his cakes and use egg replacer. He loves strawberry icing, and this is my pitiful attempt at "decorating" Nick's cake.
Blue Monday/Tablescape Thursday
Since my tablescape this week has a lot of blue in it, I thought I'd do a double post for Blue Monday, hosted by Sally at Smiling Sally, and Tablescape Thursday, hosted by Susan at Between Naps on the Porch. Please visit their lovely blogs for more participants for these events.
~~~
Recently Mr. Maison not only bought me some new patio furniture, but he painted it too. We originally thought we'd go with a green, but then decided we'd use this pretty, cheerful blue.

~~~
Found this pretty blue pitcher with coral and shells. I figure I can get a lot o' miles out of this baby...
I used my Lenox Chirp napkin rings, in keeping with the bird theme...
Okay. Hold on to your hats! The dinner plate and salad plate are PAPER! From Pier 1, no less. Aren't they so cute?
The blue Target bird cousins showed up for this event...
Tablescape Thursday & Foodie Friday...Happy 4th of July!
Welcome to Tablescape Thursday, hosted by Susan at Between Naps on the Porch.
~~~

Please also visit our hostess, Michael at Designs By Gollum, for Foodie Friday.

A little tin luminary...

Blueberries, strawberries and whipped cream...

Once again I've used child-sized flipflops as napkin rings. Don't the napkins kind of look like firecrackers?

A closeup of the red, white and blue tablecloth...

An easy red, white and blue dessert: store-bought angelfood cake with whipped cream, blueberries and strawberries...

My cake server still has 2009 confetti in it from my son's graduation a couple of weeks ago. Since the school colors are red and blue, I figured why not leave them in there?

Lucy says Happy 4th of July!
