Pea Soup

For this week’s Tablescape Thursday I did a trayscape for two. Since it involves food, I’m linking to Foodie Friday, also.

I’ve gotten so much use out of this blue wicker tray that I found last year at Big Lots. It’s just perfect for doing small ‘scapes.

SPLIT PEA SOUP

Saute diced onions, carrots and celery in olive oil. Then add water, a bag of split peas, salt and pepper. Cook for 30-45 minutes until soup starts to thicken up. I usually then add some diced potatoes and then cook until the potatoes are done. This is even better cooked with ham and/or a ham bone.
